I am Mi Zhou, an architectural designer with a cross-cultural academic background spanning China, Australia, and the United States. I received my Bachelor of Engineering in Architecture from Nantong University, where I built a rigorous foundation in architectural design, construction, and technical research. Later, I studied at the University of Adelaide, earning a Bachelor of Architectural Design, which sharpened my skills in sustainable strategies, critical design thinking, and cultural research.
Currently, I am pursuing the Master of Science in Advanced Architectural Design (MSAAD) at Columbia GSAPP in New York. My projects move between architecture, photography, and design research, exploring themes of collective memory, ecological resilience, and the poetics of everyday spaces. I am particularly interested in how architecture can serve as both a cultural narrative and an experimental medium, bridging history with contemporary life.
